We now have a professional strength whitening gel for home use in Houston. It is a paint on whitener that is easy to apply before bedtime. It is easy to apply with no strips, or impression trays and it is cost effective. A whitening kit is $95.

We are very excited to introduce the PERIO FLOW machine to kill existing biofilm under the gums.  Biofilm is a colony of bacteria that attached to the tooth and causes periodontal disease and eventually bone loss.  Previously the only way to remove this biofilm was to use the ultrasonic scaler for several minutes per tooth, which was not the most comfortable procedure, or to use the laser.

The Perio Flow utilizes a combination of a glycerin powder, water and air to reach up to 10 mm under the gums to kill the existing biofilm (bacteria).  Patients love this procedure and don’t complain of any discomfort and love the results.  This is the most comfortable perio treatment available with great pain free, fast results.  This machine has been available since last summer and we have the only one!!!!  Come and see our great new machine which we all love!!!

We are very excited about switching to a Mac environment on our computers in the office.  We have been running PC based software for twenty years.  Dr’s Frazar and Hedge have been using Mac’s at home for years.  The recent ability to run the old PC based software on our new Mac’s through VMware Fusion will allow us to access our old records while operating in our new Mac environment.  We chose Macdent Pro, the best Mac based dental management software available.  Our ability to communicate with our patients will be greatly enhanced in addition to providing our patients access to iTunes music, movies, and television shows on our clinical flat panel televisions.
