Most high end Cosmetic Dental practices communicate with their dental laboratories and ceramists with a paper lab prescription. Some will even use digital photography to aid the ceramist in visualizing the patients teeth. In our Cosmetic dental practice, we have began to make a HD video of our patients with a video camera that records lip movements, lip shape, and facial estheticss. This is captured while the patient is describing what they want for their smile makeover. Our patients are able to talk about the shape, shade and contour planned for their veneers, bridges, implants and crowns.
